According to the latest survey results of insurance underwriters from Miller, Smith, and Green, .....It is: Installed Wiring!

Yes, installed wiring.  In the 2003 survey, installed wiring was the cause of over 14,000 fires and 30 deaths.

So, how does installed wiring cause electrical fires in homes?

The chief cause of this is overloading of circuits, (wiring).
